Prince Adekunle Bada Confirms Withdrawal From Assembly Race, Endorses Incumbent Ogunleye

Prince Adekunle Bada presenting sponsored fex cap to Hon. Gbolahan Ogunleye, the incumbent representative, Ikorodu Constituency I after withdrawing from the race and endorsing Hon. Ogunleye as candidate for he 2027 General Election.

Prince Adekunle Eniola Bada, an aspirant for Ikorodu Constituency I seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly, has confirmed his withdrawal from the race.

‎Prince Bada confirmed his withdrawal in a statement released by his campaign Director -General,  Oluwaseyi A. Adelabu, ACIPM, AHRP, on Tuesday evening.

‎It was stated that the aspirant was not just stepping down, but also declaring his total support for Hon. Ogunleye to return to the Assembly for the second term in compliance with the directive of the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikorodu.

‎”The AEB Campaign Team wishes to formally inform all our supporters, party faithful, stakeholders, associates, and the good people of Ikorodu Constituency I, that following extensive consultations and a strategic meeting held today, Tuesday, May 19, 2026, with the Apex Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikorodu Division, leaders of the party, and other loyal party stakeholders, our principal, Hon. Prince Adekunle Eniola Bada (AEB), has agreed to honour the decision of the party leadership and uphold the principle of PARTY SUPREMACY.

‎”Consequently, AEB has resolved to fully support the second term aspiration of Hon. Gbolahan Ogunleye, for the Lagos State House of Assembly, Ikorodu Constituency I”, the aspirant campaign team declared.

‎While stating that the decision was reached in the interest of the party in Ikorodu, the team enjoined supporters of Bada to accept the decision and work towards the attainment of the party’s decision.

‎”This decision was reached in the overall interest of the party, the unity of our great constituency, and the continued progress of the All Progressives Congress in Ikorodu Division and Lagos State at large.

‎”We, therefore, passionately appeal to all members of the AEB political family, our coordinators, supporters, canvassers, youth groups, women groups, volunteers, and loyalists across the constituency,,to bury all grievances, close ranks, and work together in peace, unity, and harmony for the success of our party”.

‎Bada campaign team furthered directed his supporters to vote for Hon. Gbolahan Ogunleye in Wednesday’s primary election.

‎”As loyal and disciplined party members, we must continue to demonstrate our unwavering commitment to the ideals, leadership, and supremacy of the APC. The strength of our party lies in our unity, maturity, and collective resolve to always place the interest of the party above personal ambitions.

‎”In view of this, we urge all our supporters to come out en masse tomorrow, Wednesday, May 20, 2026, to actively support and vote for Hon. Gbolahan Ogunleye, at the APC Primary Election for Ikorodu Constituency I.
